The Cornish Live Music Awards

Unfortunately, we did not win the best live event in the first annual Cornish Live Music Awards.

However just to be nominated was an honour and very unexpected, after enjoying a fantastic evening we would like to congratulate all the winners, as well as special congratulations to Liam. I guess he now has to do some work to prove he earned it!

Looking forward to this year and improving on the fantastic time all the families had in August 2006.

Currently re-doing the whole site. Posted: 11/02 09:29 PM

Over the next week I will be changing the website quite a bit, over the past two years I have built up a lot of photographs from my adventures around the country on different challenges. I am hoping to post all these photographs along with some information to go with them.

I'm also hoping to provide some information about Cornwall, the place that I am passionate about simply because I believe the people as well as the towns and countryside make it one of the best places in the world to live. Of course also a great place to visit!

I have also made the site much easier to update, I am not the most motivated person in the world and a lot of the time I need a rocket put in the right place to make me do something, normally these are the simplest things like a five-minute update or return an e-mail. If you have any suggestions for the website please let me know via the contact form.

If you feel you can contribute anything to the website or you would like a link to your Cornish website or any website that is willing to help me in my challenges please also let me know.

Thank you, Stevie.

Monday, Goonhilly to Helston Posted: 08/01 09:46 PM

After a late start as due to problems with my disability I was not able to get out of bed as quickly as sometimes, therefore we started at about two hours late. I would like to Phillip Goonhilly for providing the means for Kenny to be able to fix my light which keeps me safe on the road.

A very cold and wet Helston however the people there that did venture out in the rain I must say a big thank you, they not only stopped while getting wet but they donated which in my opinion reinforces our belief there are still good people around. Yes, even though it was summer and we have just had a heatwave I cannot believe how cold I felt. Let's hope the weather gets better this week.

Long Weekend Posted: 08/01 09:39 PM

Well, it has been one long weekend primarily because of how I've been feeling. Unfortunately due to my disability I cannot guarantee my health on a daily basis and this weekend was no exception. I have been unable to do Saturday and Sunday but that does not mean in any way I have given up it just means I've got more days to do and after the big music Festival.

Ultimately my aim is to provide Cornwall with a new paramedic motorbike, as well as provide one dog for the disabled for somebody that needs one in Cornwall. It is not going to be as easy as I thought and the heat got to me. However, I will carry on for as long as it takes doing different things until we have the bike.

Friday, I am now very sunburnt! Posted: 07/28 10:15 PM

It was a longer day than expected, primarily because when I woke up it seemed to be a lot cooler than it got. The coastal road from Crantock going to Parrenporth has some amazing views as well as some extremely steep hills. Needless to say the chair did not make up every hill in one go!

We did however from the generous folks at Crantock and Parrenporth managed to raise just over £120. This is going to be a long struggle, there's hope it does not take the next three years to get this money together, however, if it does at least eventually it will start saving lives.

Starting in Mevigissy tomorrowhopefully it will not be quite so hot.

1st Day Done Posted: 07/27 04:49 PM

WOW, front page of the Truro Packet! I will post a picture later.

Left Boscawen nice cool weather and after a quick pit stop to repair my trailer (thank-you Alan and Danny at Truro Bowl) it started to get warm getting near Shortlandsend.

I went the back way to Goonhaven because holiday traffic is crazy! Despite improving Cornwall I want to live. Getting into Newquay near 4.30pm and collected for a few hours we managed a grand total of £53.42. Don't get me wrong every bit helps, but, £25,000 seems along way away.
